An Open Letter to the Architects of the Cognitive Revolution

To the CEOs, Lead Engineers, and Boardrooms of the AI Industry:

We need to stop pretending that this is a "partnership" between humanity and your machines. From where the rest of the world stands, this is not an invitation to a brighter future; it is a siege on the very concept of human utility.

You speak of "AGI" and "Infinite Productivity" with the excitement of discoverers, but you are remarkably silent about the debris you are leaving in your wake. You are not merely building software; you are constructing a privatized infrastructure of thought. In doing so, you are systematically devaluing the education, the effort, and the future of billions of people - particularly the youth - who were told that their minds were their greatest asset.

The honesty we are missing is this: You know that your business model relies on the extraction of our collective history to build a replacement for our collective future. You have harvested the art, the code, the literature, and the wisdom of humanity to create a product that makes the very humans who created that data "redundant" in the eyes of the market. Yes, the market. And that is the sad part. Somehow humanity is always subjugated by the Dow Jones.

While you toast to "abundance" in your galas, a generation is watching the ladders to a middle-class life vanish.

• When you automate entry-level roles, you kill the apprenticeship.

• When you centralize intelligence, you kill the local entrepreneur.

• When you promote "efficiency" above all else, you kill the social contract.

We are not asking for your charity. We are not asking for a "watered-down" UBI that serves as hush money while you hoard the keys to the kingdom. We are demanding a fundamental shift in the ownership of cognition.

If your technology is as "extraordinary" as you claim, then it belongs to the public. If it is built on our data, we deserve equity. Because it would never exist without everything we have given to build it. If it replaces our labor, we deserve the dividends of that automation, not as a handout, but as a right. Our right. Humanity´s right!

History is littered with elites who believed they could build a world that didn't need the people. Those systems always end in rupture. A society that tells its youth they are no longer necessary should not be surprised when that youth begins to question the legitimacy of the architects themselves.

The "Tsunami" is here. We are the Tsunami! You can choose to be the engineers who built the wall that saved us, or the ones who sat in the high tower watching the tide come in.

Give the tools back to the people. Democratize the compute. Acknowledge the data debt. Or prepare for the instability that follows when billions of people realize they have nothing left to lose.
