The American Diet
Scientists have been feeding rats an “American diet” - tons of fat, sugar, and processed junk - and it’s not pretty. The rats don’t just get chunky; their brains change. They get anxious, angry, forget things, make bad choices, and basically stop being curious.
Ok, so these are rats, but hasn´t America’s been doing the same thing… to itself for the longest time? Decades of fast food, sodas the size of flower pots, and snacks that never rot. Add stress, endless news, and social media drama, and you might just end up with a nation thinking more with its gut than its brain.
Maybe that’s why politics feels like a food fight. Why some folks cling to guns like they’re family heirlooms. Why fear of immigrants spreads faster than a TikTok dance. Why opioids and meth find so many open doors.
And leading the parade? A president who famously loves Big Macs and washes them down with Diet Coke - not exactly brain food, unless you’re planning to run a nation on sugar and caffeine.

If a few weeks of junk food can turn a rat into a jumpy, forgetful mess, imagine what forty years of Big Macs and Diet Coke can do to a country. Well, aren´t we all seeing the result? Tariff, tariffs, tariffs and Taco, taco, taco. 🤣🤪😂🤣
Thanks for Reading. Abrazos
