HUMANITY FIRST

After reading, watching, reviewing and analyzing hundreds of articles, videos, podcasts, interviews et al. about AI (Artificial Intelligence), I thought it necessary to send a message out in a, hopefully, interesting and creative way, that will help whoever gets a chance to see and listen to it, to understand that it is up to us, up to humanity - if we want to - to guide this new technology for the benefit of the whole world, of all peoples.

I thought, ¨what a better way than to use the spirit, and the voices of those humans who have demonstrated love and compassion for all.¨ From John Lennon, to Mandela, to Maya Angelou, to Malcolm X, to Buddha. They all have shown us what can be done with the power of the word, of love, of humanity. All of us are much better because of their teachings.
Here I leave links to the videos. I just started posting them both to YouTube Shorts and TikTok. The first batch are from Mandela. His main message, I would humbly imagine, would have been to infuse AI with human values like Justice and Compassion. Please give the videos a look and hopefully we can get the whole world to hear the message.

Every day I will post a different short and I will continue to post as many as I can, because I believe that this awareness, this recognition of the kind of technology that is befalling us, will allow us to control how this AI can affect and alter all of our lives. For these reasons, we must all ensure that such an incredibly powerful technology is not used for the benefit of a few, but for the empowerment of all of humanity.

There are many voices. The five I just mentioned are only the first. I have in mind also the legacy of Martin Luther King, of Mahatma Gandhi, of Mother Theresa, of Pepe Mujica, of other poets like Borges and Neruda, of writers like Gabriel García Márquez, Shakespeare, of philosophers like Nietzsche, Socrates and Plato. There are so many voices. They all deserve to be heard.
Because in the end, if we - humanity - do not work together to control the technological gods that we are creating, they will control us, and that would be the end of us all.
Thanks for reading. Abrazos.
