IF THEY SAY ¨DON´T WORRY,¨ THEN START WORRYING!

Remember when cigarette companies swore up and down that smoking wasn’t bad for you? You don´t? Well, there are many videos on YouTube that show how these fucking CEOs, sitting before Congress, lied to the world, claiming nicotine wasn’t addictive—while their own internal documents, their own research and studies, proved otherwise. Capitalism at full force.
Jump 30 years into the future and, isn't it interesting how lying has become the new normal nowadays, ah?
Well, today there is this ´latest industry´, brand new, shiny and still covered with that fresh smell. You know what I am talking about? Yeah, that one. The AI industry.
Well, the the truth is all of them are now in it together. I mean, the AI industry and basically all of Big Tech. Check out the social media giants, the app developers, the Gaming industry. They’re all doing the exact same thing as the tobacco companies, and they know it! 😮🙀😮
Oh yeah, they know that their products are addictive. They know they’re harming our mental health; young, old, girls and boys. They know they’re rewiring our brains, shortening our attention spans, making everyone anxious and depressed. And just like Big Tobacco, they’re saying:
👉 “Don’t worry. Everything is okay.”
They say:
- “We’re just connecting people.”
- “We’re giving users what they want.”
- “It’s your choice to use our platforms.”
But what they don’t say is this:
-They’re using dopamine-driven design to keep you hooked.
-Their algorithms don’t care about truth—just engagement, rage, and addiction.
-They’ve built a surveillance economy that turns your data into their goldmine.
Because at the end of the day, it’s not about your well-being. It’s about their bottom line. 🤑💵💰🤑
Capitalism Doesn’t Care About You
Capitalism only cares about one thing: profit.
Oh, LOL, 🤣😅😂🤣 And if you hear any of them say that their technology will bring forth an era of wealth and peace and health and a wonderful life for all, well… don´t believe them. By the end of this article I hope you will be a bit more skeptical.
Because, if they are capable of keeping you glued to a screen—anxious, outraged, unable to stop scrolling—and that makes them billions, well then that’s exactly what they’ll do.
Unless they’re forced to stop.
Tobacco companies didn’t stop on their own. Governments had to step in. Public pressure had to build. Whistleblowers had to speak out. The same thing has to happen with Big Tech.
So when Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, or Sam Altman or any Silicon Valley exec tells you, “Everything’s fine. Don’t worry.”—That’s when you worry.
That’s when you should start asking:
-Why does Instagram make teenage girls feel worse about themselves?
-Why does TikTok hijack our attention spans and push extreme content?
-Why do we accept tech addiction as “just how the world is now” instead of fighting back?
It’s Time to Act
You wanna get control back from these tools, then do this:
-Turn off notifications designed to steal your focus.
-Limit screen time—This is how you start to take their control away.
-Push for regulation before we end up like those smokers in the 1950s—only realizing the full damage when it’s too late.
-Protest. Demand change.
They won’t change until they’re forced to. They won’t stop until we make them.
Because in a system where profit rules everything, your suffering is just a business model.
So the next time they say, “Don’t worry.”
Fuck them! Don´t believe them! Worry! And fight back.
Thanks for reading. Abrazos.
