WAKE UP! DEMOCRACY IS DYING!

Or maybe it is already dead.

Ok please, listen up, because this matters.

Our democracy is being taken apart, piece by piece, and most of us are too busy doing I don't know what, like scrolling on our phones, practicing the latest dance on Tik Tok, or playing the latest video game, to notice. This is what's happening:

If You Wanna destroy a Democracy, Do This!

• Replace Good People with Yes-Men and Women

• Firing career government workers who know their stuff - And Musk is still going at it full force.

• Putting in political cronies who'll do whatever the boss wants

• Basically, turning government into a personal playground for powerful people

  
  

• Turning Watchdog Agencies into Attack Dogs

• Changing rules so government agencies can target political opponents

• Using regulatory power as a weapon, not a protection

• Making sure only certain voices get heard 

  
  

• Muzzling the Media

• Suing journalists and news media who ask tough questions

• Creating financial pressure to make news outlets play nice

• Making it scary to report anything that doesn't fit the "approved" story

  
  

• Rewriting Our History

• Changing school textbooks to tell a story that fits their agenda

• Erasing parts of history that make them look bad

• Making sure the next generation sees things their way

  
  

• Attacking Basic Rights

• Making it harder for certain groups to vote

• Rolling back protections for minorities

• Treating some people like they matter less than others

  
  

Why No One is Stopping This

There are just so many things going on that there is no time to keep up with it all. And that´s the strategy. Overwhelm the system with weird shit all the time. If it's not tariffs here and there, then it´s Canada should be the 51st state, to Panama, to Greenland etc, etc, etc. Honest truth? We're tired. We're distracted. We've got bills to pay, kids to feed, and a bunch of other stuff to do, like learning the next Tik Tok dance move. (We gotta practice if we wanna get some likes.) Fighting for democracy sounds exhausting when you're just trying to survive.

Social media tricks us into thinking we're making a difference. We share a post. 😮🙀😮 We get mad online. We feel good for a minute. But nothing actually changes.

What Real Resistance Looks Like

So let me tell you something that will hopefully wake us all up: there is no superhero coming to save us. This is about ALL of us showing up:

• Vote. In EVERY election. Not just the big ones. 

• Talk to people who think differently than you 

• Support local journalism 

• Show up to school board meetings 

• Teach your kids what real democracy looks like 

• Stay informed from multiple sources 

• Be willing to be uncomfortable

The Bottom Line

Democracy is actually kind of a new thing for humanity, a nice gift created for those who have lived in the last century - more or less - where the majority of the people truly have been given a chance to guide their lives based on freedom to express ideas, to dissent, to think differently, to create, to pray. There isn't a powerful voice telling you how to live or not to live. Yes, there are rules that must be followed. Look, I truly understand why there are so many upset and mad about how things are going, but there are powerful forces out there that want all the power to themselves. They will not tell you that that is what they are doing. Of course not. But you will certainly notice it when things and the reality of life get a lot worse for most people. And it is at that moment, when it affects you personally or it affects someone you love or a neighbor, that it will be too late to try to change it.

Democracy is something we have to fight for, every single day.

Right now, powerful people are betting we're too tired, too divided, too distracted to care.

Are they right? Or are we gonna prove them wrong?

The choice is ours. And time is running out.
